    I have two 7 month old silkies. I have no idea of their genders. neither is laying or crowing yet and their personalities are not giving them away The white has a longer tail than the buff. Both have very small combs though the white has a bit larger comb.

    I would guess they are pullets based on how their combs look :) But I'm not sure if the rate at which their tails feather out is related to sex or not in turkens. I think you're pretty safe assuming they're females at this point - my hen had even more red in her face/comb at 6 weeks.
