Possibly a partridge cochin? I think mine had more coloring as a chick, but it's possible.

ETA: If it did not have the feathered leg, I would definitely say EE

She wasn't happy, but I tried to stick to the wattles and I think the nerves there are not really sensitive? Dunno, but it seemed to bother me more than her, lol.
Hugs and thanks

Let me tell you, I was freaking out!! It did have a smell to it. I thought at first that thingy was a thorn too, but it grew as the wattle did, which makes me think it was something else.
No idea.
Just glad to take it off. Wonder if I am the only one with such a freaky chicken? LOL
Thanks

Anyone have an idea? I had left it go for quite awhile because it wasn't bothering her, but this week I have noticed her struggling to drink.
This was her wattle- it started out swollen and gradually expanded. So, I basically cut the "thing" off, dubbed her wattle. It was hard to avoid her neck...
Hi Tanya!
It took one of my chicks 2 weeks to get over it. I gave her Poly Vi Sol (baby vitamins) and also Vitamin E in a syringe 2x daily.
She has turned into one of my nicest hens and none of her chicks have had the problem.
Good Luck!

Yep, and nope....
Ducks will lay all summer.
Sorry. Your geese should be eating grass and weeds more than anything else? Mine don't eat any grain. They love greens!

Come to Nebraska... Get a piece of the good life. Anywhere west of Omaha or Lincoln, you can get some nice land under 2k. We have a very low unemployment rate and cheap taxes! Summers are warm, but not too hot and winters are cold, but rarely freezing!
GREAT place to live...
Mt. Healthy has a DeKalb Amberlink. I wonder if that is what the white one is... if so, it could be a she b/c they would have a higher comb. What do the legs look like?
I just wanna know how to get birds into the US legally... Surely there is a way to do this. I know they would be in quarantine for some time, so how does it all work?
Do you plan to bring them with you as you come back to the US?
Thanks
