I juiced some beets and carrots one time, and fed the flesh to the chickens. Their yolks came out a beautiful dark pink/yellow color. Sort of like a tequila sunrise. :)

My duck will not lay her egg

I used to find my duck eggs in the dirt. I think they hide them. :)

What Do You Charge For Your Duck Eggs??

I just got three ducks, but am not crazy about duck eggs. I only use them for baking, and I mix one duck with two chicken for scrambled eggs. The whites are too grainy for me.

I have three Pekin ducks. I have never seen any other breeds available for purchase, but these will do fine. I had three of these in my last round. :). They are very sweet.

Me too! Totally obsessed with getting more chicks! I think we are getting a mini pig...not that mini...in Feb. what is we? I want some Rhode Island Red and some fancier ones. My daughter wants one in the pic I hope to attach, but I'm thinking more than one rooster may be too many, lol.

I like your frost covers. Mine are old sheets and they weigh down the tomato plants. I also have Seminole peas, broccoli, sweet potatoes, spinach, celery, kale chard, rutabagas, bride eggplant, strawberries, and some fruit trees. But I have a very shady yard and I haven't gotten any harvest yet.

Right now we have 14. I just started chickens in Oct with 8, lost 4, got four more, lost two, got 3 bantams, then 5 more chicks. Our first four lost were due predators, from to the coop not being shorn up and sturdy. I got help with the coop and now it seems to be keeping them safe. Then I...
