    Marsh Turn X incubator - old model questions

    I remember these incubators well. I believe they had 2 different models that used the light bulb for heat. One of my teachers in grade school had one and I borrowed it a few times. I found one just like it on ebay years later and purchased it. I love those little Marsh Turn-X incubators.

    After all the eggs hatch that are going to I move the hen and chicks to a pen with food and water in it so they can start eating and drinking.

    I have wooden nest boxes on the wall and the hens set and hatch in them just fine. I don't think it matters to the hen if it is on the floor or up higher.     Could be. But 5 weeks seems a little young to be able to tell the sex by their plumage. Sounds like you have one crested duck.
