    Depends how old they are in which season. Ours didn’t start laying until spring even though they were old enough to during winter.

    We have Pekin Bantams and we have used 5 different hens altogether for hatching chicks. Personally, we found they were amazing broody hens that took really good care of the eggs and great mothers with the chicks. I would definitely recommend them

    So, we have purebred Pekin Bantam hens and are about to get a frizzle cross rooster. If we breed them, will the chicks have frizzle feathers like the rooster or normal, smooth feathers like the hens?
