    Roof to protect from rain and sun would be my advice. Remember there's nothing madder then a wet hen.

    Strange!!! Did my rooster lay this egg?

    We have MaryAnne, Lovey, and Ginger. One of the girls crowed when they were young pullets. Ginger is a wild squawker and has the same toes and spurs as a rooster. She's little but keeps the others in line.

    Mine have always rather be out then in there covered pin. They stand under a bush or under the eve of the house or shop. They prefer shop stoop or in the shop:D I've spoiled them rotten.
