Here’s my “barred rock” now, are we still thinking partridge rock? I feel like she looks like my black star but with different coloration and dark eyes
We recently got a bunch of chicks from ifa, my dad says that they got two Easter eggers, a gold laced Wyandotte, a calico princess, and a production blue. I know for sure it’s not the Wyandotte, the calico or the blue, but this chick also doesn’t look like any easter egger I’ve seen.

I gave her the calcium citrate and gave her a bath, we got a bunch of poopy feathers off her and cleaned her up a bit. She’s drinking good but hasn’t eaten yet. She’s still hunched and acting weak, but she’s walking around and acting much better after a bath and a nap. Her vent looks fine and...
Found one of my Easter eggers hunched in the run this morning, she walking around slowly and still eating and drinking, but she stops and sinks to the floor occasionally. We checked her vent and couldn’t feel an egg, any ideas? Her poop looks like it may be more runny than usual, there’s a some...

Today one of our chickens was found dead in the coop. Zero warning, no sign of illness the day before, and no sign of injury. She was found on the bottom of the coop looking like she had died in her sleep. My parents couldn’t tell she was dead until my mom nudged her a bit with a stick. The...
Shoot I totally forgot about this thread haha. Unfortunately I don’t work at the farm anymore. I’m still in high school and once the school year began I realized I didn’t have enough time to keep up with their needs. Last I was there, the chickens were about 18 weeks and oddly enough hadn’t...
I just barely rehomed my lavender Orpington rooster. There’s some farming groups on Facebook for my area and so we posted in one of those and found a local farm willing to take him.
Ok i'll do that. This is my first time with a broody chicken, is there anything else I can do for her? Now that the rooster is gone i'm not really worried about separating her but i'm not sure how to monitor whether or not she's getting up to eat and drink.
