I am looking for a few cages for my new rabbits. I have been looking all around town for some decent cages with no luck. I see that I can order some from tractor supply but the online reviews are not very supportive. Can anyone recommend a brand or a store I might be able to get a few quality...
I am interested and could give them a good home. I will be in the Cleveland sometime this week, Probably Thursday, to pick up some lumber. If they are still available and you could meet me near the Ingles supermarket let me know .
Thanks
I am in need of a new Thermometer for my incubator, I have read great reviews regarding the Spot Check and Egg O Meter Thermometers. Also I can find no information on probe length for either, Both probes look very short in all the pictures I have seen however I know looks can be deceiving...
IT heats the Whole Cabinet, The link is just for the heating element which is nothing more than porcelain insulators and a long wire spring. You will need a separate thermostat to control the heating element, any type of thermostat will work with it, I personally use...
In my Homemade Cabinet incubator I used the heating element from a GQF Sportsman, It was sized right, EASY to install and designed for just that purpose .

I am building a hatcher to go along with my incubator, I have sourced a thermostat from an old Little Giant Styrofoam Incubator. However I can not find the wiring Diagram to wire it up! I need to know what wires to connect to the heating element. I have a RED, BLACK and WHITE wire. Thanks
...Eggs on Monday and see what happens.
I Tried to use the Multi Turn Thermostat from GQF however it would never turn off and temps reached over 110*. After sending several unanswered Emails and phone calls that went in circles I gave up and decided to Eat the $80 that Piece of Junk cost and...

Is there a way to test Electronic thermostats? I just installed a GQF brand Multi-turn thermostat in my incubator and it heats 100% of the time!!! It will not cycle off and on like it is supposed to. I would like to make sure its the thermostat itself causing the problem and not my wiring before...
Put on the first coat of Minwax Fast Drying Satin Polyurethane!
The poly has definitely made the grain on the wood POP a little more and darken/yellow the cypress just a bit
I think after 3 coats of Poly and a Topcoat of Wax this thing is going to look pretty good
Thanks for all the kind words! This has been a great learning experience and a very fun project.

Dropped off this sketch at the engraving shop this morning! I can't wait to see the finished product!
The big black rectangles will be cut out for the digital thermometers to measure the temperature at the top and bottom of the incubator while the large black dots will be drilled out for...
Great news! I came home from work to find my thermostat at and heating element sitting by my front door!
I have to be honest the quality of the plastic case is questionable. I really expected it to be of much higher quality for the price. I hope it works better than it is constructed!

I will be using the same 225w heating element used in the GQF Sportsman incubators
In other news... I am having a hard time with designing my control panel. I have it mocked up on a piece of cardboard but the engraving shop needs it on a plain white sheet of paper to scan it into...
I spent a few hours over the past few days working on the incubator. I have all of the rough sanding done, installed the mechanical bits and drilled all holes for wiring and mocked up all electrical components, less the Thermostat from GQF that is in the mail.
I hope to install the doors...
