I am excited and nervous at the same time!
A hen has just appeared in the coop. I picked her up and found a wound on her breast. I t is a deep round puncture wound. I don't know very much about chicken first aid and need some help. I don't have any "chicken" vetirnary supplies. Does anyne have a...
Thank you all for your love.
The day of the attack I was outside with treats when all of the sudden one little hen came from behind the bush. I was overjoyed! She was hungry and terrified. I did some searching for a fox den or cache to prove this theory but none has been found. I will keep...
Last night i forgot to close up the coop. (actually one person thought the other closed the coop and vice versa.) I had about 20 chickens yesterday and now i have three. I am really sad. I want to protect my remaining three hens. The only trace of most of my chickens is simply a line of feathers...
last night i went out to the coop and found my rooster that has a leg that is bent out. ( It was a birth defect.) He was missing a head. (obviously dead) Now one person said it was definently a rat while another had no doubt in his mind that it was a coon. MY question is what was it and how do i...
I got a real expensive incubator from my school (you know like $500) and it was automaticly set to chicken hatching. there is an alarm if it goes to high or to low and lets you know if the power went out. It came with great instructioons and was really awesome! It also included a automatic egg...

My Chickens are up by 6:30. I don't let them out until 8:30. Once school starts that wil change to like 6:00. They are all standing at the door waiting for me like starving animals! YOu would think they didn't get fed!

I think she has already out thoght her! She convinced you to keep that chick! Ohhhh the intellligence of a six year old! They could get a hobo to give them the shirt off their back!
Adding on to the cd mirror idea i have heard about tying old cds to the back of a chicken in the fashion of those hen aprons. The hen aprons are also supposed to help. Good luck! I am sorry about your chickens!
I would say it is probably poisinous The head is wide and diamond shaped. (for the poison glands) Though some snakes fake it. Garter snakes are black with a yellow stripe and their head is the same size as the body. It just kinda tapers off into a mouth. Don't know what it is but I thought I...
...When you here your rooster crow for the first time (or at least try) so you raid the kitchen for some treats to reward him and end up using the perfectly good lettuce that we were gonna use for salad that night for dinner.
By the way you guys are hilarious! I hope I am never THAT crazy!
