I have ordered both ducklings and hatching eggs and have been extremely happy. I ask my friends, or local people, if they want to go in on an order together so that we can avoid the small order fee!
Ok I have successfully helped a number of ducklings in my past hatchings. I had to help the first one this go around as it piped externally and no progress with a lot of discoloring on the shell. That one is out and doing well.. I have another that I may have jumped the gun on putting in a...
All have hatched, the yolk has almost completely dried up on the one. I do have one, the last one, that has a bent neck. Not sure if there is anything I can do. I'm giving her a little time to see how much she can move it on her own. Also her left leg is weaker, at this point she can't stand...
I didn't help the one with the yoke, it came out on its own.. my incubator isn't working and they were all stuck to well over 24 hours after pipped.. they all have been doing excellent except this one. I have 13 hatched out of 16. When I finally started helping they were all almost wrapped on...
Thanks, I had it wrapped and put in a bowl but it kept climbing out. I don't have anything tall enough that fits in the incubator. Should I take it out?
Any advice on what to do with this? It hatched about 7 hours ago.

Also this one is very much alive, but has goo that keeps coming out and sticking to the shell and baby.
The one I wrote about I'm still helping, a little at a time. It's doing well. I have 2 that have hatched 3 more that are starting to zip and all but 2 that have pipped. I am currently helping 3 though. I got to one just in time. The membrane was just starting to stick to its bill.
Thanks, I did peel the tiniest section of dried membrane. It is alive but not positioned properly. Last time I had to help all mine that weren't correctly positioned. After how many hours should I start helping?
I peeled a little back on the one that had me concerned, it is drying. I added water bowl, sponges, etc.. hopefully we can get the humidity up. I did peel back the membrane a little and the dark spot on it seems to be a blood clot? Maybe it hit it when it pipped? The duckling is still breathing...
I have 19 duck eggs in lockdown. I can't get the humidity above 69. 8 pipped yesterday between 3pm and 9pm. The first one that did looks as though the membrane is drying. I can add a picture but it isn't very clear. The dark spot on the membrane isn't open, maybe duckling under? I don't know...
