    Why does isolating him for a month make a difference? Wouldn't isolating her until she heals up give him time to know the others and spread the love a bit? I do have another coop. I suppose he deserves it more than she does! Lol

    Thanks all! I opened it up and sadly it was dead. I believe it bled out. Everything was coagulated gooey and still. So sad, but glad to move on to the chicks that are still hatching in there! Day 23!

    My chicks have been popping like popcorn over the last 24 hrs. This egg pipped and zipped pretty quickly, but now it's got blood on it and it's not moving that I can see. This is my third hatch, and never had anything like this happen. Can they bleed out while hatching?
