i know my gunea hen was out in zero degree weather for about 8 hours i couldnt get her in and had to get to work
i did bring her in for the night when i got home 1 am . in the am she was crying i fed her she didnt really eat
i then put her back in the coop with her family
She aint rite last...
i would love to win the eco glow brooder we are in nh i insulated our first coop coop #2 i am going to do deep litter and put hay bales around and underneath it
i have 13 girls born april may no problem all get along ri reds golden sexlinks and 1 gunea hen as well 3 black windottes.
recently got a new coop and 2 5 week old americanas i kept them isolated 2-3 weeks .. left them out in the chicken run with my other girls they killed or pecked to death one...
i have recently purchased 50 pound bulk oatmeal so hot breakfast for my girls with seeds and nuts of sorts mixed in grapes and of course plain yogart they will not touch there grain until they have seen if i am coming out for them or not "very cute i think"
