Opinions on my coop design?
I wanna be on the safe side with the nests, yknow how bird math is lol. we may end up with more in the future :] I have really cold winters here (sometimes getting into the negatives) but ventilation thing is more of a note so I don’t forget, my dad works in construction so he’ll probably have...- ky_bird

Thank you! Yes the roosts will be higher than the nest boxes, when I lived with my mom we had that problem lol. I’ll keep the ceiling idea in mind! We’re mostly using leftover parts from other projects we’ve done to build this coop- ky_bird

Hi guys! I wanted your opinion on this coop design I made, me and my dad are getting 6 chickens next spring & these will be the first chickens he’s owned since he was a kid so I’ve been helping a lot haha. the shed roof design was my dads add-on- ky_bird

Quail gender
I know not all quail can be gendered by color but I was wondering if I have any that can could you guys tell me the genders? They’re about 2 and a half weeks -

Do you guys like my setup? I’ll probably have 5 or 6 quail in it. Critique is welcome!! The quail chicks will be hatching any day now, (the green one is an extra if I need it, I don’t plan on using it) The size is 30in wide x 48in long x 33in tall -
Quail egg completely dark
Hey guys! I got the candler you guys suggested and it works really well! 10 out of 12 of my eggs are alive, but one is completely dark, They’re on day 17 all the other eggs have air pockets except for this one, I’ve tried candling from every part of the egg but it’s completely dark everywhere -

Hey guys! I’m having trouble seeing inside my celadon quail eggs, I tried using my phone light and a small flashlight on the end of one of my pens but I just can’t see through it, I don’t have any small flashlights if anyone can help please tell. Thank you! -

My chickens!!!
Yes! Awhile back my mom got this big package with about 40 chicks ( from some website I forgot the name of ) and they were all different breeds, we ended up with quite a few Delaware- ky_bird

Quail food
Hey guys! I’m looking for the best food to feed my quail, I have some chick feed I ordered but I wanted to know the best and healthiest adult feed brands so I can buy those later on.
