I count my blessings after the last few years,
Oregon Homeowners Stabilization Initiative, allowed us to stay in our home for the last year. This was exceptional timing as I was diagnosed with breast cancer and could not work for the surgeries and recuperations I would need over the last year...
I hadnt thought about dehydrating, but sounds intriguing. I have a small food dehydrator, would that be usable or do you use an oven? Curious to know. If you have time to shareI would love to hear. How do you measure for baking etc?

This could be considered a plug, but I would not want any to suffer for not getting roses. However, sign up for their email speciald.if you want. They had all their roses half price to ship anywhere about 2 or 3 weeks ago. The server crashed it got so many hits. Also you get their catalog every...

We have 2 sets of fabulous neighbors, but our other next door neighbors wont do ANYTHING to their back yard this year,( little has ever been done in the past few years). We have berry vines growing into our yards from their house. They never clean up the dog feces on the back patio .(In Years!)...
I am looking forward to coming to the swap and buying honey and seeing all the lovely birds again. I was at the last one in Canby. I bought 3 Indian runner ducklings who have grown to big kids now. A drake and 2 hens. I think that one is not full blood as she doesnt stand as tall as the others...

Hi Stacy, This recipe looks great. I glad to find an alternative to muffins or bread. Have you used any dried/fresh fruits or herbs in them? I will try these today for when a friend comes by for tea. I live in Oregonand it has been cool and showery. Not complaining. But, baking will take the...

No, the refrigerator doesn't change the taste it's the texture. An egg that comes out of the frig doesn't blend into foods as well as a room temperature egg does. A cold egg clumps together and it takes a lot of beating to get it smooth and it never really gets as smooth as a room...
I cant post pictures but I do try to keep count of what I had when I started, and rotate back to front as I add. I also love to recommend a book "Independance Days" by Sharon Astyk.
She does a great book on all stored goods, inventory, life spans of foods etc. My neighbors all bought a copy...

Oh thank you for your imput. "Lucky" appears to have its little right foot slightly curl when it does try to walk like the other 2. The right also shows some red like a blood vein in its foot web. The left foot goes out a bit further to the side, but I cant tell if actually splayed or...
