    Ayam Cemani

I have just picked up a Ayam Cemani hen. Beautiful bird. Here are the pictures. She doesn't like to go in the coop with the other birds but prefers to roost alone higher up on a bar in the run. Has anyone else found this?

    What breeds are these?

Went a chicken show yesterday and bought 2 more. A proper crested legbar and a silver grey Dorking. Beauties!! And I think you could be right about the Cotswold Legbars.

    Cleaning nest boxes

I built mine with a removable floor for exactly that reason. It pushes up from underneath and can lift out. You have to be careful that it isnt too easy to do that though as Mr Fox can work that one out too, so I have been told.

    Chicken coop can hold??

I am a newbie to this so you can't take too much from my advice, however, I have been asking exactly the same questions as you about by own coop which look as if its slightly larger than this with three bars and not two. I believe that it depends on 3 things: 1. The size of the chickens...

S&N Livestock : They do kinda look like legbar one a cream my guess is legbar mix.. Pretty birds either way... Thanks, yes they were both sold as cream legbars. What breeds are these?

I suspect that they are hybrids of some sort but they were sold to me as Legbars........ I suspect not. Neither of them have started laying yet. I bought them in September this year as POL chickens (www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploads/112042_2011-11_various_2011-11-05_039.jpg) I suspect...
