OMGosh i LOVE Buffs!!!!! i have three and they are soooo cute!!!! have fun with her!they are so friendly! altough, if you have another flock that is a diff breed, because they are docile, BOs get picked on alot, so be careful!

I'm not sure how far it will go, it may last longer than shavings, or not, but I love the dust free aspect. It doesn't look any more appealing to peck and eat (to me) than wood shavings...
i had a 3x1 3/4 and three birds, and they outgrew that at four weeks!! you might want to make a temporary brooder like i did if you dont have a coop ready. if you do, put them in that during the day(depends on the temp outside) and put them back in the box at night
