I have two French Marans. I bought a 30 dollar flock block from Amazon. It is like a cement block and my chickens aren't able to get a seed loose. I pounded on it with a heavy shovel and it just bounced off. What is the problem?
I have the identical problem, no scratch, no corn, unless it is corn cut off the cob. They are pullets and refuse any veggie that is not micro chopped. I spend most of my day chopping and am running out of ideas for food.
