Yeah, I figured after our talk. I’m happy she appears better, and I’ve been spoiling her as much as I can. Trying to give her her best life while she’s here.
Update: well my girl Rose is still kicking. She’s acting better, eating and drinking and foraging around.
However she laid a pretty odd and good size lash egg today. So I know the problem isn’t gone.
Oh I’m so sorry you went through this. What an amazing turkey mama you are. That was some above and beyond care you gave. You shouldn’t feel guilty at all. Truly.
My girl seems to be doing better these past few days, but I’m not sure what that really means.
I’m just trying to care for and...

My girl seems to be doing better today, so fingers crossed. She’s still not 100% but better. I’m loving her and spoiling her best I can either way.
Thank you so much for this information and the links below. I appreciate the link to the baytril as well. Y’all are a wellspring of information here. I may get some of this just to have on hand.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your help and support. I think I’ll wait a day or two.
I’ve currently got my girl separated but it’s stressing her a bit. Do you think it’s necessary?
Those were my thoughts. She’s definitely been having the laying issues for over a week. But just started acting lethargic yesterday. Her eyes and comb are still bright too. Her feather picking issue has been ongoing and she didn’t have a first molt with the other girls.
I’m weary to use...
Haha! Green Acres is great!
I'm more the farmer than my husband, but he is wonderfully supportive. We live near the beach so he can surf, but on a bit more land so I can garden and keep chickens.
