Double yokers
Hi I have a couple of Appleyards that have just started laying eggs. I’ve noticed one is laying double yokers and has been from the start! It’s been about 2 weeks now, one a day, and we are still getting the double yoke. Is this delight likely to stay for her egg laying Life? -

Yes I think we are going to give the “mean” one the axe so to speak as he pulls feathers out of every living thing and has now started chancing the kids, which I find amusing I have to say. Do I need a rooster?
Hi do I need a rooster for better egg production. I have two that are very aggressive towards my ducks and am looking to put them in the pot as they are of age. Should I keep one or is there no need for them?- Szack

I have a ducklingbthat has hatch 24 hours before the others should I be taking it out of the incubator now or wait for 48hours? It looks tired and don’t want to stress it out? I’ve heard the can live 48hours after hatching? I just don’t want it to dehydrate and die of thirst? -

Hi I have a collection of 6 week olds. I know I have a Cayuga and a Crested Apple Yard. The 2 Blue Swedish are pretty obvious too. But the others two seem to be Abicot Rangers. Is one male and one female as they have similar colours but not identical? far left and far right of pics -

At what age in weeks is the best time(s) to slaughter my geese? I’ve heard at 18 and 22 weeks? Is this correct??
