Hi all, I have a baby turkey that's maybe 2 weeks old. I found her this evening with an unwell look to her and labored breathing... Does anyone have any ideas what this could be?? I'm so worried. Gape worm maybe?
I posted a video to the turkey FB group, you can watch here. I tried to post it...

Hi ya'll!
I found lice on my ducks yesterday and I'm going to pick up some ivermectin drench. Do I need to dilute it before putting it under their wings?
Also I have Permethrin.. Should I spray that around their coop?
Thank you!!
Hi guys,
I have a 5 week old turkey that started limping a few days ago. I checked him for bumblefoot or obvious injuries but didn't find anything of significance. I got home from work this am and he was barely standing on it. On closer inspection it seems to be his right hock is red and...
Hi, all,
I have a black Spanish turkey named Jose. He is the sweetest thing, and we've raised him with our chickens, ducks, and guineas. He is 3 months old, and up until last week, he was cooped up for the night with the ducks (3 male Pekins and 3 female anconas) and the guineas. We went on...
So animals are not something you obtain "just for giggles." There is a lot that goes into caring for animals, especially ducks. They're not for the faint of heart. This is how people end up with animals that aren't cared for properly, because they saw a photo online, and thought they were...
I have 3 Pekin drakes, and contrary to other opinions here, they are fantastic. They are pets ONLY. They're silly, sweet, very mellow and ridiculously adorable.
So I'd like to thank everyone for their input, especially @Miss Lydia because Cash's little feet look soooooooo much better!
He is walking a little at a time, eating, and he is definitely feeling better. The little black spots that are seen on both feet foot fell off today during his dressing...
His feet actually look better today, and there is still no swelling. They're not hot to the touch anymore, thank goodness.
As for the eggs, nah, he's never had them before, but I wanted to try. I'll make a mash with some mealworms and hopefully he'll eat that.
So we started the iodine/wrap with triple abx ointment last night. Another problem has arisen... He isn't eating his food. He hasn't in days, so I've been giving him tube feed in the meantime, but I'm running out. He eats mealworms, but refused the scrambled eggs I offered this am. Any ideas...
Which foot has it? There is no swelling to either foot, but they were hot yesterday to the touch. I soaked him last night in epsom salts and started an oral antibiotics. They weren't as hot today.
@Miss Lydia thank you for your help! I'll keep you posted. I'm terrified to hurt him
