Duck can't walk, help!!

Hi all,
I have an almost 5 month old duck that all of a sudden can't walk as of yesterday. When I pick him up he flaps his legs so they're working fine. I put him in the pool and he can hold himself too. He walked a little today when a lot of support of his wings, and it looked painful.
Any thoughts or ideas??

I'm not familiar with ducks at all, but could he have some sores on the bottom of his feet?

If you can't find any swollen areas on pads of feet, could be niacin deficiency. Bare minimum, supplementing feed with nutritional yeast or Brewer's Yeast is super easy and supports the legs. Are you supplementing currently?

EDIT: photos didn't come through before my first response. WOW. OUCH!!!!! Definitely looking like potential bumblefoot. Search the form for bumblefoot under "ducks" for pictures and procedures.

I'd say that is the problem, needs some special attention asap
You could go ahead and cut but first I'd give it 2-3 days of warm Epsom salt soaks then applying clear iodine over the bumble doing this for several days or until the scab easily peels off usually the pus plug will be thick and can be pulled out or carefully dug out with sterile tweezers. It takes a bit longer but a lot less stressful on the poor duck and us.

Is there swelling on the top of the feet and into the legs at all which could mean infection has spread and usually calls for antibiotics. That is why these infections need to be addressed asap.

Which foot has it? There is no swelling to either foot, but they were hot yesterday to the touch. I soaked him last night in epsom salts and started an oral antibiotics. They weren't as hot today.

That is why it's best to do it this way first with soaking and using the clear iodine very important you use the clear iodine it helps bring the bumble to the surface. then when you can peel off the scab you should either have a hole or be able to get out the pus pocket. Looking at the pic looks like it's on both feet. Doesn't necessarily have to be swelling unless the infection has progressed. So that is good no swelling.
Be sure to not let him drink the ES water it is also a laxative.
