    Silkie chick with broken/dislocated foot/leg..

    Yesterday afternoon i went out to my brooder. I have 2 hens and 4 babys is one side of it. One of the hens, Big Mama, was standing on her chick.. I tried picking her foot up and moving the chick but the chick was stuck.. Somehow the hens feathers got stuck on the babies foot and it dislocated...

    I gave it 24 hours by itself.. I could not here in making noise so I decided to open it to see if she was still alive. She ended up being alive. I made her a good size hole and put her in my incubator. 3- 4 hours later she had not done anything. So I hatched her myself. She was really weak...
