the weather has been so freaky and unseasonably warm, i fired up the grill and cooked some chicken thighs, some onion slices and made tacos with guacamole, chopped lettuce and grated gruyere cheese. i've even got some left over. . . but i just took a peek and it seems my darling wife found them...
thank you, thank you. i'm getting closer and closer. big hit for a weekend dinner.
btw, i used to fish the feather river up by yuba city, back when we lived in california. are you guys near there?
i have had hungarian chicken paprikas. yum indeed.
my granny was german. came to america as a very small girl.
she also made something she called a 'kniffle' (the 'k' is not silent). but this isn't what she used for the chicken dish. she used something else.

Breakfast today:
everything bagel
a spread of jalapeno cream cheese
bacon
soft scrambled eggs with thyme and gruyere cheese
a dash of cholula hot sauce.
keep raising those chickens! there's nothing better than a fresh egg...
i've read several notes in this thread and i'm not sure if it's safe to post this, but here goes:

don't hate me...
wow, you guys must really like waffles. i mean, if i had that kind of trouble, i'd move on to some other food. crepes are easier to make and the clean-up is easier as well. and anything you can put on a waffle, you can put in a crepe.
