    Diarrhea, feather loss, not laying

Has your chicken perked up? My 16 month old hen is going through the same thing, except I’m not noticing feather loss yet. Lots of watery poop. Did you find anything that helped? I separated her to watch, withheld food for 2 days bc her crop was a bit doughy and gave her some oil and grit with...

1 year old broody barred rock- Massachusetts/Southern NH/Maine

Anyone looking for a broody? 1 year old barred rock hen. Had been a great layer, but is stuck in a broody cycle I can’t break. Anyone looking to hatch chicks, but no one will set a nest? Do it nature’s way! I don’t want to give her fertilized eggs as I hand raised 12 this year before she went...

Do you still have any? I had one of my silkies (Easter hatch) pass away from failure to thrive this week. The other 3 are all looking suspiciously like Roo’s. I have a couple week old Easter Eggers I can mix them in with.

6 week chick, one lame leg. How to splint?

Thank you! I’ll try this. She’s kind of tipsy for lack of a better word. She’s so tiny I’m having trouble splinting her, wondering if I should just try a leg hobble again, she was happy and mobile when I had her in them. Here is an up to date pic of her.

6 week chick, one lame leg. How to splint?

hi all, I’ve been searching for help with this for about 2 weeks. I thought one of my silkies had splayed legs and treated for that about 2 weeks ago. She’s not feathering out as well as her hatch mates and is about 1/2 their size. When she was in hobbles she hopped along okay. I took the...

Hortense is not well-- maybe crop problem?

Glad she is feeling better! My Scarface is just as peppy as usual. Her crop is emptying completely overnight, but the muscle seems a bit pendulous. Hoping that she’ll bounce back fine, it doesn’t seem to bother her at all, but has me worried.
