It's so good Hortense is reverting to her former ornery self. Having a crop yeast infection really makes a girl feel like sh*t. Most of the time miconazole does the trick nicely, and it's so rewarding to see a chicken feeling better.
Molly wasn't responding to the miconazole so I've started her on pigeon nystatin called Medistatin. Usually nystatin is suspended in solution and requires a prescription. Then someone here, I think it was casportpony told me about Medistatin so I sent away for some. It's a powder that mixes in water or wet food.
Today was her second dose and she sure seems more lively than she's been. I've been giving it to her in a soft boiled egg and she's eaten every bit.
