    4 1/2 week old Black Copper Marans-Hen or Rooster

    You probably know by now, but was it rooster on top and hen on the bottom? I have a pair of copper marans and I'm trying to sex them. They too are about 4 1/2 weeks. The combs look about the same, but one of them has slight copper on the tips of the feathers on the back. The other has none yet.

    I was thinking of using some "Premium Grade Birdwire" Which is probably just hex chicken wire from this farm website. http://www.farmerboyag.com/wire-netting/Premium-Grade-Birdwire.asp I know people say to use the welded wire or the hardware cloth, but I really cant afford to build something...
