I'm currently working it out. Different ways of cooking and fermenting. It just takes a lot of time To make them edible. Really old beans don't like to soften.
My trick is I tap into the LDS community. I am always telling my LDS friends. If you know anyone getting rid of old food storage I'll take it. I literally have hundreds of number 10 tin cans of wheat. Ferment it and boom! chickens love it better then feed. Old canned potatoes from the 60s soak...
Ok thanks I was thinking that was the case... Looks like at this point everyone is getting along nicely so hopefully she will grow those back in quickly.
Good advice on that. I have been watching them today and they have been dust bathing a lot. I have also looked at their poop.. ( Managed to get some all over my hands) and it looks ok for now. I will most certainly monitor it though.
So yesterday I responded to one of those 5 dollar chicken Craigs list ads. I was hoping to get a couple of pullets to add to my flock. It was not exactly the experience I was expecting. My wife and I were met by a really nice lady who had A LOT of chickens. Apparently just about every bird she...
Anybody in the Vernal area want a free EE Rooster?
He is really nice he just turned out not to be girl and I can't keep him where I am at.
I would possibly be able to bring him to you in the Park City Heber area if needed.
Yeah I keep telling her she is not allowed to be a rooster. She is most definitely the lead hen, and is way bigger then the others. She is my only EE and my daughters favorite.. She would be super sad if she was a he and we had to get rid of her/him.
Well I have no idea if yours is a rooster or not. Because I have the exact same question about mine. My ee is 14 months old and is just a ton bigger then the other 14 month old birds.
Well it is most certainly not germinating but it seems just fine. I cracked some and tasted it and it tastes like red Wheat. It seems like I could toss it in my mill and make bread with it. It just doesn't germinate. So I hoped I could just ferment it.
So my wife and I grind our own wheat and bake our own bread. This means I have lots of wheat to make into fodder for our chickens. It also means people occasionally gone its there old food storage wheat that people don't know what to do with.
So we just got 60 lbs of wheat from someone who...
I don't know that our will help with your color scheme but it is bright.
In all seriousness there are a lot of things you can do with a light purple. A tan trim will make your purple seem more mellow. A bright white will really make it pop.
Depending on the purple there really is a lot...
