I'm in Ovilla, just north of Waxahachie. We hatched out 9 chicks over 4th of July-Marans, araucanas, ameraucanas, wyandottes and light Sussex., all from Chickenscratchpoultry. The is our first chicken raising, and it's been great fun so far! Now we're just waiting to see who's a boy...let met...- paddyro

Rooster prediction at 3 weeks - Light Sussex??
I hatched a mixed clutch of 9 eggs a few weeks ago, with breeds including Wyandottes, Light Sussex, Araucanas, Americanas, and Marans. I have one of those too, but it is black like this one below (example). None of the breeds I ordered are suppose to have feathered feet. I don't mind at all - the mystery is the fun of it! I just want a pretty basket of eggs. Hope it isn't a roo!!- paddyro
