Most of mine are mutts...but I like to try and figure out what they could be mixed with. ...she is pretty and a nice shy little girl so it doesn't matter:)
We lowered the nests and raised the roost...there was still a little poop in the box so I assume one of the pullets liked roosting there. My husband made the nest box removable so I've just taken it out and will put it in after a few weeks had passed. Hopefully that solves the problem.
This is the one crowing...I saw it when i went to tell them good morning before I went to work. I will have to find him a new home soon as I want to be considerate of my neighbors.
They are just a few weeks old...according to the breeder they should begin to lay in late fall/early winter. I will block the nests off for the next few weeks.
Anyone have a guess on whether this is a rooster or hen? It looks like a hen to me and I don't see any pointed saddle feathers but it sort of crows...not sure if the exact age as the woman my son purchased from said a "couple months old"
