Hen or roo?

Anyone have a guess on whether this is a rooster or hen? It looks like a hen to me and I don't see any pointed saddle feathers but it sort of crows...not sure if the exact age as the woman my son purchased from said a "couple months old"

It looks like a cockerel between 10 to 12 weeks old.

Are the saddle feathers shiny? That's how I tell. Also, if you pick him up then drop him down he will dance for you and make some "Ooo" sounds.

There are really no distinct saddle feathers on it...and no hint of spurs...I was convinced that he was a she.

We'll have to wait. A Lavender Orpington rooster I just got right now looks like a hen but he has shine on his back and no saddle feathers, that's a good sign. You probably have a cock somewhere in there for you to hear crowing.

This is the one crowing...I saw it when i went to tell them good morning before I went to work. I will have to find him a new home soon as I want to be considerate of my neighbors.

Looks like a cockerel to me as well, I think I can see the beginnings of pointed saddle feathers. Spurs don't come until they're older.

Sorry about that, so disappointing when you were hoping for a hen!
