No picture happened the day before yesterday.
It was like intestines but clear about 4-5 in long had a normal size soft egg the in the tube behind it there were 3-4 jellybean size what I think we're eggs,also soft.
I thought I was going to find one of the girls permanent napping ...

My chickens are starting to lay, and we had the normal soft egg here and there. But one of them had a sack around it and looked like little soft eggs with it. Like the size of jelly beans. The sack was clear and soft like skin. Is this normal?
...fly trap with vinegar and a jar.......so I have turned to just giving the fodder to the chickens who are not laying eggs yet my horse and goats are ******!!! any advise would be great.
I do use bleach and a white cloth to clean the trays with after turning it out.....but.....that doesnt seem...
I have another question. I am getting a lot of un-sprouted seed in the bottom. I am watering 2-3 Times a day, 1/2 in seed depth,a lot of he's in the trays.
Anyone have had this issue? And how do you fix this?
So not trying to be too cheap (and im on a well) but running longer is just wasting water right?

Are there instructions on making an automatic water system for fodder out there. So that someone that is not up on plumbing or all the parts can put it together?
So I have this question. After reading thru this thread and countless hours of searching for info on the how and why for fodder... if your rinsing to get the starch out so it doesn't get slimy and moldy, why would you have a flood and drain. Dumping the starch and slime in the tray below, and...

Hello, when should I move the rosters out to separate them from the hens?
Seems as if I have 6 rosters.
I bought all chickens together and they all get along so far but I'm not ready to have them making the flock bigger.
There about 5-6weeks old now.

Got the light in and the mulch down for the walkway.. planting chicken greens in the sand areas.

Old thread but.... i just planted a 1,000sq ft chicken food plot for my chickens... it is just coming up so far...
this is from hancock seed here in florida it is their happy hen food plot mix...
has all the protien and carbs they need it says.. I also grow wheat fooder/sprouts for them which...
