hi and thanks for the reply, unfortunately i had to dispatch the poor girl. She wasn't eating and only drank if i dipped her beak first. such a shame. My best guess is a stroke leading to impairment. Visually she looked fine, lights were on but no one home.

I am in need of some opinions and advice. My flock is currently all Welsummers. One hen has very 'washed out' colourings and lays blue white eggs! i think of her nearly as a albino. She has always been bottom of the pecking order. Sometimes not really in with the rest of the troop...

I'm Ian, a new member. from Ireland. We keep 5 Welsummers. 4 Hens and a Rooster. We hatched them all from eggs last summer and we have just successfully hatched 7 form 12 of our own eggs! all between 1-3 days old. Worth noting our Rooster if from different stock! looking forward...
