My serama hen will take my broody hen's eggs, or sit on the nest with the broody hen. I have to lock my hen away from the rest because the other hens take her eggs. My incubator would have had one chick hatch day 19 ( if that one didn't get stuck piping on the wrong song ) and most on day 20. I...
I currently have chicks around a week old. They are serama. Would you be interested in a smaller chicken breed? I am only selling in pairs. I'm in Wilmington NC.
I have none! 5 laying hens, but one is broody and the other taking care of chicks. The other 3 haven't layed. They may be hiding them, a while ago some layed their eggs in some brush and then next to a tree stump.
I would give you some as I do have one show type hen and a nice rooster but she is taking care of her hatched chicks and another one is broody. I only have 3 laying hens besides the broody ones and they are not very showy.
I have 15 chicks at the moment. I only want to sell in pairs. 9 of them are about a week old and 6 are only a few days. I have a general knowledge of what their parents are ( I only have a flock of 7 including the two roosters ). Of the 9 that are one week old, I have a general idea of who is a...
I have 15 chicks. I would love to sell you a pair. I want to sell them in pairs because I don't want the roosters to be unwanted, especially since they are so sweet and personable. Unless you wanted a pair of pullets, then maybe get hatching eggs from somewhere. I'm located in Wilmington, about...
Thank you! I have only ever seen one other serama that looked like her and the hen on your slides, I wonder if there is a certain breed that has that color.
yes, I agree. That's what the chart it says, but they also have body heat from other birds so they would be fine. I didn't get the chance to change it.
I love the bantams, especially seramas. You can but them in pairs and trios usually from breeders. Even if you have two roosters they usually get along fine with enough hens. I just hatched 9.
Brinsea is good from what I've heard. I have a brinsea mini advance 2. ( holds 7 large eggs, 12 serama eggs )I would get one that can read the humidity because a few of mine piped on the wrong side and I think I needed a different humidity but i'm not sure. I was hatching serama, a small more...
What breed is the one on the left? I have a bird very similar in color. I think they would be fine with a heater, but to be sure I would have to search more about what what breeds and ages, can handle what. Just googling it it says minimum 65 for 9 week olds. But it may vary.
