If you can get a livestock guardian type dog like a great pyreneese that is your best bet for protection. But if you get a chance to kill that fox do so. If you dont you will be sorry later, and may not ever get another chance to do so.
This time of year alot of hens wont lay unless they have artifical lighting. Hens need so much daylight hours a day to lay. No your layer feed does not have to much protein.
Does anyone know where I can get a box to ship 3 grown peafowl? Or even if they make one that big? I thought the swan shipping boxes could hold up to 3 full grown birds but I cant seem to find them anywhere. Thanks
I think you will find that individual birds will have there own personality but for the most part birds that are raised and get alot of interactions with there owners will be really tame.

I dont know anything about the peafowl where you live but If they are anything like the ones we have here than I find your statement about them injuring monitor lizards, jackals and jungle cats hard to swallow. We have "similar" predators to the jackal and jungle cat here (coyotes and bobcats)...
