Hey Guys! I have a 9mons old EE that is a great layer, but more often than not her eggs have these extremely bumpy areas, only on one end. I've read it can be excess calcium, but none of my other 13 hens are having the same problem!
Here are two eggs layed yesterday and today.
They are lovely and sweet, which is what I like best. The Roo is a true gentleman, and sweet as can be with young children and all humans that come into our yard. Even if they aren't SQ, I think I won the chicken lottery!!
Hey Guys!
I recently was given a rooster and 4 hens, and was told the three whitish hens are Blue Wheaton Ameruacanas, and the rooster is a Blue Wheaton Ameraucana Splash (I know this isn't an excepted color) I was told The roo is a true Ameraucana and has a purebred mother and father, and...

Since...

I was not keen on getting another Roo, since I wasn't convinced another wouldn't be as much an *******, but a local farm who breeds Amerucanas had a Roo that needed a home and they assured me her was gentle and sweet! And is he ever!! He's the...
...hens come into the coop. He's terrified of me, or his shadow. He wont go out into the run he stays in the coop or the ramp to the run, and he'll be ****** if he actually steps outside on the grass. He almost acts scared of the ground.
Will this pass once he comes of age? I have already...
These two are bossy and fresh. The lighter one I'm suspecting is a Roo, the darker a hen. Any thoughts? In the last picture you can see my 3 w/o GLW Roo (I got him sexed on purpose cause I wanted a Roo!)
