I haven't been able to get photos of the poop (I am usually out there at night), but I can try to get some later. The chicks are 7 weeks old.
To be honest, I really didn't want to keep going with the Corid. Isn't it too late to start again since I've already given them vitamins? But now I'm...
Sadly she didn't make it through the night. I'm worried about her sister though, their poops were very runny and I've noticed my older hens look fine but also have runny poops. Should I try to treat the whole flock then?
In the U.S. medicated chick starter contains Amprolium/Amprol which is Corid!
It is fine to feed medicated chick starter during treatment of Corid (Amprolium).
Most all feeds contain vitamins which is fine to feed.
You may not be understanding about the vitamins and Corid (Amprolium)...
Yes thank you! Is this chart accurate that I found? We were doing for severe since we are having so many issues. We have two isolated inside for now. What if they don’t seem to be drinking the corid water?
...they may not be eating a lot. Try making a wet mash out of their Chick Starter. You can use the mixed Corid to wet the feed.
Liquid Coriddose is 2tsp or Powdered CoridDose is 1 1/2tsp per gallon of water given for 5-7 days as the only source of drinking water.

Corid for Cattle is the right thing.
Liquid Coriddose is 2tsp or Powdered CoridDose is 1 1/2tsp per gallon of water given for 5-7 days as the only source of drinking water.
Do not add any extra vitamins/electrolytes that contain B1(Thiamine) to food or water during the course of treatment.
Yes; they were treated for 6 days at the treatment dose and are now on day 3 of preventative. I didn't see this color in their poop after the 2nd or 3rd day of starting Corid until today
...of the same poop, just different angles?
These are from the pullets, correct?
I'd treat for Coccidiosis. Corid can be used.

Is her poop normal or runny? I would be tempted to treat again for coccidiosis with a smaller dose. That is 1/4 of the earlier dose. Make a small bowl of wet chick feed with the Corid water. Could you keep her next to the others for company but still separate? How old are these pullets?
She improved throughout the day and acting quite 'normal' now!
But i think I'll do the CORID anyways since it can't hurt, right?
Is it ok to give CORID even if they eat a medicated feed with Amprolium already?
The other 3 girls will be drinking the same water if that changes anything.
If I see it more, I will post a picture. It was really red, and I found the actual droppings laced with red. I am not sure which chicken it is. It isn't going to be here until the 14th. I will cancel it, and the pick it up at TSC.
Sorry for your loss. What dosage are you giving? You can continue to give it at the maximum dose another 2 days, and then it can be reduced to 1/4 the dose for an additional 5 days. The maximum outbreak dosage is 2 tsp of the liquid or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water. If you have not...
You can give the thiamine supplement in the week between Corid treatment, and then again after the second round of Corid. You do understand that two treatments a week apart is necessary to get all of the coccidia.
If your chick is not responding to the Corid, you may give a drench dose. For a...
I posted here the other day asking about combing antibiotics, fenbendazole treatment and corid and the possible harm of doing all at once. The consensus was it was fine. I started the corid a few days ago, after the antibiotics since they both had to go into water. Today is day 3 of the corid...
...doesn't have a therapeutic dose of Amprolium in it, so if you are wanting to treat for Coccidiosis, get some Corid and treat her.
