Thank you, I called The City of Santa Clara,(ca.) the lady tried to be helpful, but didn't know the answers (she admitted)for what I needed, so she just said, "just come in and fill out the form." It's $6.00 a chicken for a permit, that's all I have so far. .. Thank you, your info was helpful...

Raising chickens in the city is a lot different from being in the country. Permits alone are discouraging. I'm going to have 3 hens. So for those of you who are well on your way is it really difficult to get permits started? Suggestions are welcome. :jumpy
