    I doubt wolf spiders have enough venom to kill a chick, let alone an adult. I can't really even see them getting bitten, unless they lay on it, or something.

    A rat snake's bite cannot leave two marks, as they have no fangs. It was either something venomous, or a rat.

    They are pretty cool. I'd think they would run off if you tried free ranging them though. They don't act like poultry birds. :]

    In pasadena, (or anywhere for that matter) are australian scrub turkeys legal? They technically are not turkeys, or any other kind of poultry bird or associated with farming. Thanks for any help. :]

    Yeah, snakes cannot eat eggs like that. Squirrels have been known to eat eggs though.

    I'm not sure if a hawk would be able to. Hawks don't have the oily feathers eagles do, and could end up drowning.

    Any way to keep cats out of the yard? I live in a suburban area, and these 2 keep hanging around constantly. I wouldn't mind, but my 9 ounce tortoise is out in his run during the day.
