    sorry to hear about your dog-at least you both had 12 loving, memorable, and happy years together! My suggesstion for a new little guy would be a Lab. Even though ours was a pheasant hunter, she NEVER touched our chickens. She new they were family and they got along well together. Good luck!

    Will my chickens fall into my koi pond? I'm not sure what their sense of direction is and we have a 200 gallon koi pond that they haven't discovered yet. Should I put a little fence around it to prevent them from falling in?

    Is Sod OK for the coop?

    Thanks all, I think I will try the salad bar idea. I felt terrible today because one of my chickens escaped to run over and eat some grass, LOL! So I put a bowl of grated carrot, lettuce, grapes, tomatoes, strawberries, and cornbread in the coop.
