    Babys are born....Yikes!

    Thank you to this board for helping me with all my silly questions on raising these ducks! The duck are born and there are 5 that look like the mom (Swedish Hen) and 7 that look like dad (Peking Drake), is that a way to tell male vs female?

    Hatching Duck Eggs

    Is it true that if you touch a ducks eggs they will abandon them? Our duck has been sitting on her eggs for about 3-4 weeks now, and my daughter wanted to feel them to make sure they are warm. Is this OK? Or should we just let her do her thing?

    Swollen Turkey Foot

    Thanks so much. I am soaking her foot in the betadine and epson salt, but not sure how long to make her sit there. I have her in a bucket, its actually quite cute and she seems to not care that she is sitting there for 30-45 min. Is that long enough?

    Our pet turkey (a broad breasted white turkey) has a swollen foot. When I touch it, it feels warm. What can I do to help her heal? Here is a picture.
