He has a new home now for about a month it was super hard having to get rid of him and my duck but they went to a home together with a lady I work with so I know they are both doing great :)
:) I will check tonight to and see if maybe Lyndie is laying she was making weird noises yesterday and I'm not sure if they were egg laying noises or not ;)
Lyndie is the older one and she will start laying maybe September is about where I figure and Charlie maybe in October. I got Lyndie Mother's Day weekend and Charlie about a month after when I found out I had a rooster I couldn't keep.
My hens aren't laying yet :( but if you are on Facebook they is a group called backyard chickens of east Idaho and they have a lot of people with laying hens :)
I have an Easter egger rooster and a Peking duck(female) I need to find homes for as soon as possible :( I would like both to go together if possible. This is Merlin and Daisy.
I have had Charlie for about a month. Got her at CAL ranch on May 30th. And I'm not sure how old she was then. This is a picture of her the day after I got her.
Just curious if anyone in Idaho would be looking for a rooster to add to their flock. I'm trying to hang on to mine as long as I can but I love in the city and would feel much better parting with him on my terms then possibly the city :/
Just heard about this thread. I'm in Idaho Falls have (hopefully) 2 hens, a Peking duck, and a rooster. I'm still new to chickens and ducks but I love them all :)
