We've been asking around and thinking about calling the farm we got him from to see if they would take him back, but no luck so far. Will be sad to see him go and don't want to give him away if it's going to be for slaughter.

Got this chicken from a local farm as a 3-day old barred rock hen, but based on comments it looks like they're mixed breed and a rooster? Anybody have any ideas as to which breeds this olive egger might be from?
Could somebody help gender this barred rock? They're about 11 weeks old. Got four chicks all were supposed to be hens but this one seems to be growing much faster and looks very different from the others.
