    Tina had a chicken that hatched a duck egg. Her baby died 3 days ago and the chicken went after a duck with 3 babies, thinking they were also hers. She is not having alot of luck this year with baby chicks and ducks. She is losing about half of them and not sure why

    I did forget to mention another favorite treat for my girls is when I cut a pumpkin or butternut squash in half and let them peck away. Todays treats consist of broken egg shells, fresh cut pineapple chunks, a couple stalks of fresh asparagus, chopped up hard boiled egg and some Cilantro.

    I have found that my chickens love Boon Worms, thanx to my brother-in-law's suggestion. He owns a Feed Store in Janesville, WI. I was low on cash but wanted a treat for the girls. They went nuts over it.
