    I built a cattle panel hoop house behind the coop for them to use. They still mostly hang out under the coop unless it's a sunny day. I shovel all around the coop and put out old straw to walk on. Feed, water and treats are in the hoop house so they have to use it.

    The ones i get, it takes 2 buckets to hold a 50lb bag of feed. They are square, maybe 4 gallons or so. I like the shape, they stack nicely against the wall in my shed.

    If you have a bakery in the area you can usually get food grade buckets with lids cheap or free. I get mine from Walmart or the grocery store bakery for $1 each.

    Thank you @Puddin Fluff for the reply. @katatonic123 I just upgraded the inside. New roost, nest boxes and the broody area. Better organized and better looking than what I had. First nest boxes were 16", these I made 12". Seems to be plenty of room for the hens.
