Update: when I got home from work so roughly 9 hours after feeding its crop was still not empty. As of this morning still not empty. So it clearly has some internal issues. I have made the decision to cull it. I can't stand to watch it suffer any more. If its not processing what it is taking in...
It is the only one of the bunch with these issues. The eggs are from my flock that have no health issues. This chick was hatched by a friend who didn't have the capacity to care for it.
No coccidiosis signs in any of the chicks. Feeding it eggs until the crop feels full twice daily. Roughly 12...
I have a silkie chick that has wry neck. It is to the point it's head is all the way under its belly and it cannot walk forward just backward. It also will not eat solid. It does not open its eyes or want to drink water.
For the past 5 days I give it egg yolks with cinnamon and nutri-drench...
Well he free range but he isnt acting himself. Tail down not hanging out with his women and not wanting to move much. I've brought him inside to rest. His poop smells bad too not like normal poop

I was told a roo. I dont care either way just wondering. Was born in April 2020. No crowing yet and gets picked on does not stand up for itself. Very quiet.
I just like hearing everyone's opinions and why. I always formulate my opinion when I get them and see if everyone agrees. I also use it as a way to learn how to compare them.
I do agree. I feel the white headed is most likely to be the roo if any are. The comb and wattles from time to time get...
I am very aware that it is super early to tell and that it is best to wait for a crow or an egg but I love hearing everyone's opinions when I get new chicks and then to compare them to the result. So purely for my entertainment do you all think these are roos or pullets? I kind of hope at least...
When I picked it I looked at the comb size and leg thickness and the wings compared to the others and the comb and legs were definitely on the smaller side compared to some of the others. I guess time will tell.
