That is true... but not my worry honestly. Their mother lived on the lake so I feel her babies have a right to be there too. (I know the law probably doesn’t feel the same)
Is that the same thing as posting a thread? Sorry.
So we have this. It was working great but I don’t feel it is big enough now. I’ve looked into ones on amazon but I can’t afford one at the moment. It also isn’t secure. No bottom to it and I’m worried about predators. I have reached out to some...
Hello. I have 6 8 week old muscovies that I am trying to release into the lake in my back yard. I don’t have a proper set up for them, and really was just trying to help because the mother was killed. The 8 week olds will not go near the lake and stay right outside of our door. I love them but I...
:love:love Kurly is doing good today! He is the smallest out of them all. I can’t believe how fast they growing. Thanks everyone for all your help in this journey! If you have any recommendations for them now that they are growing, please share. Thanks again!
I will definitely keep you updated on how he progresses. He seems to get around okay for now. The others are doing great! Growing so much every day. I’m eager to find out the sex of all of them. Any suggestions on treats for them? Like meal worms? Planning on taking them outside this weekend.
There is a video of kurly. I am thinking that he does have more of a scoliosis. Not really improving. I did try massaging it when he first hatched. I don’t think you can massage this out though. I’ve given them nutridrench.
You left them outside? So do you have an outside brooder then? As you can imagine we didn’t have anything set up before saving the eggs so not sure. We live in Florida so it’s usually hot and humid. It’s been chilly this week (50s and 60s). Also worries about snakes, raccoons and other things...
Going well! They are eating and drinking quite well. When do you start giving them the dry starter feed as opposed to wetting it? Kurlys neck is still pretty bent. He’s eating and drinking fine though. I noticed his feet are also a little curled if you can imagine. Is he maybe a runt you think...
...Unfortunately the 2 that never pipped externally didn’t make it 😢 I’m thinking there was too much fluctuation in the humidity during hatching. *sigh*. The ones who lives however are eating, drinking, making a mess and being cute! But I’m looking into getting/making a bigger more efficient...
