Ok, I do change their shavings every 3 months in the coop and try to minimize the poo they leave on the ground. I haven't gotten a swift of ammonia yet but I will keep my nose up for any smell. Thank you so much.

    Another ticks Question

I have three dogs and I found fleas and ticks on my babies. I got that taken care off but I'm worried my chicken might have them too. I have seen them scratching but don't see nothing. I read chicken eat ticks so should I just let it be? Or should I buy some type of preventives and if so...

Lost a chicken to my dog :(

Please don't use a shock collar on your dog. Use positive reinforcement to train your dogs. The best thing is to keep dogs and chickens apart. Dogs who don't hunt can still snap and it only takes one bite.
