Chickens bred just for meat

I just joined BackYardChicken. I've had laying hens for years but in June I happened to be given these three chicks.I did not know they were to be raised to be killed after 3 months.I just put the thought out of my head and took care of them.I hated the thought of taking their lives.I became very upset to the point of crying at the thought.I finally went back to the store where I knew they were sold from.A nice young man made some calls to a local farmer and his brother.They came and got the chickens.They were very nice guys.I will never do that again.I'm so happy it is over.

Yeah, my bf say's when my chickens stop laying there going in the pot

My chickens are my pets and he goes before my chicks go.
