Can anyone tell me what kind of ducks these are? I got them for a friend and we are still trying to figure out what they are LOL Bought them at Tractor Supply. Thank you very much!
Thanks for the info! I bought them at Tractor Supply so I don't know what hatchery they came from. They had already had them for a week and they had not sold.....and of course they didn't know what kind they were so I got them for $1 each! So they weren't a gift but close enuf lol. I figured...
I actually have a thermometer set up to monitor my baby goats room temp and I use one of those indoor/outdoor digital ones. You can pick up a wireless one for 10 or 20 bucks I think. Put the outdoor sensor where the chicks will be and save yourself from having to keep going outside to check it...
As unhelpful as this might be....a bigger box with a cover....I usually start moving mine outside pretty soon but not this year apparently. If you have a secure place for them outside set it all up with heat etc and put a thermometer in.Monitor the temp over night and see if it stays warm all...
I bought some Cornish Rock chicks and they are not growing up to be Cornish Rocks......at least none that I have ever seen....Anyone have any guesses what they might be?? Most of them appear to be roos so far but not knowing what breed they are who knows. LOL
I just got my first Parrotlet! Her name is Precious and she is a total diva! Shes 7 weeks old.....I have had her for 1 week. She might be a little spoiled. Caught her playing peek-a-boo with the kitten from inside her cage. It was really cute.
Looking to find about this incubator.....cant really find anything useful online. Anyone know when its from? What its worth? It appears to be complete.....from the 50's maybe? This thing is HUGE! the picture of the front with all the doors......the back looks the same. Brand appears to say Petersime
...having your opinion that a family of 4 with one income that just lost pretty much the season of poultry sales due to people who just dont give a **** and bring birds to swaps that "got poked in the eye" and some other BS reasons they spout to make their $12 bucks kinda sucks.......so yeah...
Thank you for sharing some accurate information Puglady!
I know alot of people had to start over and endure financial loss and heartbreak and yet many are still doing the testing for MG/MS voluntarily because making sure our flocks are healthy is the right thing to do. All we can do is be as...
Edited because I am SO sad that some people have nothing better to do with their time then cause trouble and start drama. It really is quite pathetic....I really do feel sorry for you.
I am looking for quail hatching eggs if anyone will have any for the Milford swap. Please email me at [email protected] and let me know what ya have and how much.

Thanks Greg and Janet for a great swap season! Alot of time and money go into Chicken Swaps of NH and without the swaps how else would we all justify our hatching addiction?? Looking forward to next year already! Thank you.
