    How do I get started selling chicks?

    I recently bought an incubator so I can hatch and sell chicks. I set 15 eggs and they should hatch in about 2 weeks. I do not want to ship chicks (yet). I need some advice please.

    I can't wait because either tomorrow or Tuesday (probably tomorrow) I will candle my first batch of eggs! It won't be for a couple weeks but I can't wait to see how many make it to lockdown and how many hatch.

    Yesterday my younger brother was playing outside and found a huge chicken snake in the nest boxes. It had eaten 6 of my broody hens eggs! here is a picture of the snake. This is a picture of my brother (who found it) holding the snake after my grandpa shot it.

    Thanks to both of you! Butter is almost 4 years old and we got him as a puppy on my moms birthday in the middle of a snow storm and kept him in the house for a while.

    Yesterday my dad and I went to the Backyard Poultry Event at Tractor Supply Co. We bought 6 ameraucana chicks. They are most likely 5-6 weeks old and they were cheep for their age. We got them for only $2.50 each! Now I have 23 chickens 2 ducks and 1 dog!
